I am currently running Win XP Professional on my PC. Lately I keep
receiving the following error message:

'Windows - Virtual memory minimum too low.

Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of
your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for
some applications may be denied. For more information, see Help.'

Does anyone know how to solve this.

Thanks in advance.

Check to see how much free space is on your C: drive; if it's low, then run
Disk Cleanup from you Accessories->System Tools (DO NOT check the box for
"Compress Old Files"). After cleanup, check available space again. May be
time for a new HD.

I too have recently experienced the same problem on an otherwise
healthy machine with ample resources. It happens when I try to open
emailed .tif graphic files directly from Oulook Express into Windows
fax and picture viewer. The files are relatively small but they bring
the system to it's knees. If I save the files and then open them...no
problem. Perhaps if you could elaborate on what programs/processes are
active, it may provide a clue as to the cause.
