xp installation hangs...ati..help

Hi all,

I've been trying to install xp pro on my m ain pc - its the sp2 version of
xp. The installation goes well I then add the NF4 chipset drivers, no
problem. When I then install the ati 5.13 drivers for my x1800xt and
restart the xp starts but hangs at the xp screen....what am I doing wrong
here?

my setup

AMD A64 4400 x 2 2.6 at 1.4v
2x512 ddr pc 4400 2.5-3-3-8 G.skill
fsb 260x10 htt x4
msi k8n diamond sli
xp pro sp2 version

all have latest BIOS , drivers etc

how about dropping back to stock FSB settings and then trying?..as in
200FSB...

possible hardware conflict?...do you have any PCI cards installed?
...if so take them out and try it..

have completed some searches on the net - and confirmed last night its ccc

should have stuck with nvidia cards - i have wasted an entire weekend trying
unsuccessfully to get the pc completed!

Do you have Microsoft .Net 1.1 (or later) installed? Maybe that's why the
CCC is hanging. I'm one of the (few) people who haven't had any problem
with .Net or the CCC drivers.
